About On the Patio
With the ever evolving smaller living spaces and smaller planting spaces, On the Patio was created to promote the benefits and beauty of gardening in small spaces and container gardening.
After moving to the Nanaimo area, I noticed a demand for Native plant material and decided to incorporate the two, Native plants in Containers! Why not attract hummingbirds to your 3rd or 5th floor balcony? Or just add some nature to a sterile space and help cool down the environment.
While working in the Nursery Industry, I also developed a passion for plants that push the limits of our environment and add an architectural touch to gardens and patios.
I earned my diploma in Landscape Horticulture from BCIT and have been involved in the horticultural field for 40 years.

Open Wednesday to Saturday 10 - 4.
Starting May 12, I will be at The Cedar Farmers Market Sundays 10 - 2 thru Oct 26th!
I will also be at the Cedar Xmas Market November 10!
Consider a Live Xmas Tree this year.
The nursery will be closed those days.
